Meet your therapist, Debra...
Picture
Debra started what is now Wholeness Health & Lifestyle Clinic in 2008, when she graduated as a Classical Homeopath and Natural Health therapist, after studying for 3 years full time at The Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine in Perth. In 2011 Debra qualified as a Colon Hydrotherapist, relocating the clinic and making necessary modifications to allow the provision of this treatment process. She discovered colon hydrotherapy when embarking on flushing her liver and gallbladder in 2008, using a tried and tested technique which also included colon hydrotherapy

Debra has been practicing Reiki for over 20 years and Pranic healing for 7 years. These therapies are truly holistic in the sense that they are energetic and therefore help bring a natural  balance to your whole being, with a sense of groundedness and peace. This in turn positively affects the Nervous system to feel less stressed and more at ease. Debra is now honored to be a Reiki teacher and runs workshops for those who wish to become practitioners.

A Passion for Alternative Medicine
Her passion and instinctual drive toward holistic medicine and living began in her late twenties, in London, when she was searching for an alternative way of treating her young daughter's chronic asthma. Debra was introduced to a local Classical homeopath and was needless to say, relieved that after a consultation and a homeopathic prescription, her daughter no longer required regular use of the pharmaceutical steroidal inhaler. In her late 20s Debra discovered Reiki and once attuned to the energy, used this healing art to help her children, family, friends and neighbors pets. Other modalities used in the family home were Bach flower remedies, herbal teas and reflexology. It has always been Debra's  natural desires to share a wholistic gems with the wider community.

New beginnings and a step into the World of Holistic Life
After Debra's migration to Perth, in 2004 she decided to embark on an education to become a Classical homeopath.
Once qualified in 2008, she began to steadily grow her experience and confidence, treating clients, using this most amazing system of medicine in her new clinical practice. Debra also used the knowledge she gained during her studies and with further study, to assist clients with herbs, nutritional and lifestyle advice as well as using certain detoxification techniques. One technique that she had formerly used successfully herself was "The Amazing Liver and Gall -bladder flush",  by Andreas Moritz. This technique also required 3 colon hydrotherapy sessions. Debra subsequently recommended this book and technique, along with Colon Hydrotherapy to many of her clients and her interest in the use of Colon Hydrotherapy and detoxification grew. In 2011 Debra studied and qualified as a Colon Hydrotherapist and implemented the therapy into the clinic as part of a multi modality therapy. Debra has been a Reiki practitioner since her late twenties and now is a Reiki teacher/master and is privileged to now be able to teach this amazing healing technique to those who feel inclined to become Reiki practitioners too. Call Debra to discuss up and coming workshops.

Reflection into her distant influential past
Upon reflection, Debra feels that the pivotal change in her life began at the tender age of 14 years, when she started to practice a form of Japanese Buddhism lasting for over a year, while sharing a room with a devout Buddhist young women. Around this time, Debra felt a shift from the "normal way"of seeing things.

It was no surprise that the use of herbs, Bach Flower remedies, Homeopathy, Reiki, Reflexology and Meditation were common place once she had a young family of her own. Two of her three children were born completely naturally using a particular breathing technique (not uncommon in Yogic practices). Obviously she was checked prior to each birth for any conceivable complications. Fortunately there wasn't any.

" At the tender age of 14 years, growing up in South London, when feeling rather lost and bewildered by life, I was asked by my Mother to share a room with a Japanese student who came to board at my home. She was a devout Buddhist and invited me to chant twice daily with her. Through daily chanting of Buddhist scripture with Komiko, I felt a definite instinctive shift within me. I feel that although the practice only lasted for just over a year, the impact on my future life choices were governed from this point, for a quest to become more of who I truly am and not just acting upon the patterning of this short life time. I feel that when we address our spiritual needs through practices like meditation or any methods that touch the heart, great shifts and changes for our highest good occur ."
